the process:
catherine has over a decade of experience painting portraits of houses, people and pets to commission in asia and europe. she can guide you through the whole process and provide you with copies of the photographs used and even print cards etc from the completed portrait. she can help you chose:
- the art media & sizing - view her wide range of examples of portraits in oils, watercolours, pencils, acrylics or pastels to help you decide
- the subject - taken from her own photographs or from yours
- the details - editing, grouping and improving the photographs using digital graphic software
everything can be discussed and looked at face to face and/or by email .
a full photographic mock-up will be made before you commit any deposit.


picture prices:
prices vary by media and size. a "standard size" painting is 40 x 30 cms (16 x 12 inches) roughly the size of an open magazine. included is a digital copy of the painting on CD for use as letterhead etc. paintings on paper can be presented in a card portfolio pictured above as a gift.
- £120 A4 size pen & ink house portrait on 300-500gsm acid-free, cold pressed, off-white paper
- £120 standard size chalk pet portrait on coloured paper
- £150 standard size pencil people portrait on acid-free, off-white watercolour paper
- £250 standard size watercolour on 300-500gsm acid-free, cold pressed, off-white watercolour paper. presented in professional portfolio and tied with ribbon. (see above picture).
- £300+ oils/acrylics on larger canvas sizes (price dependent on size agreed)
