Catherine holds a solo exhibition of her work only once every two years upstairs at Packhorse Bath – a Jacobean community owned pub close to her studio. Her new collection of richly coloured paintings are truly rooted in the landscape, featuring trees at their centre – from windswept groves to ancient individuals that mark the passage of centuries of time. Dramatic “optical illusions” created by sun’s rays glitter on water, filter through mists and glance off scattered leaves – all captured in luminous watercolours.
PARKING: There is temporary parking in a small paddock on the way into the village off Southstoke Lane. Look out for the P signs. Parking at own risk. No overnight stay.
VENUE: The Packhorse is a beautiful listed Jacobean pub in the heart of Southstoke on the edge of Bath. It has a large garden, original fireplaces and serves wonderful food -perhaps combine your visit with a meal?

As a member of the Society of Women Artists I enjoy showing my work annually at the Mall Galleries and often give a live demo to visitors at the exhibition. This year I am exhibited a portrait ‘Joanna in the RWA Drawing School’ and ‘Foresting bathing’ (both shown above).

I am delighted that my paintings (including Forest bathing pictured below) have been chosen to appear projected at IWM2024. To have been chosen by 24 Masters and Industry Professionals, in the top 200 from nearly 3000 entries from 105 countries worldwide is a real honour. This event in Lilleshall Hall England features an exhibition and demonstrations by elite ‘watercolour masters’ from China, USA, Europe and beyond. BATH OPEN STUDIOS GROUP EXHIBITION
ART AT THE HEART: ROYAL UNITED HOSPITAL MAIN CORRIDOR
16 October 2023 – mid-January 2024 I exhibited my painting ‘On the wing’ with the group as part of the Combe Down Art Trail group of artists in the main corridor at the Royal United Hospital, Bath.
PATCHINGS EXHIBITION WITH THE SOCIETY OF WOMEN ARTISTS:

I exhibited two new landscapes – one of a ploughed field shown below entitled “Pinstripes and patchwork” and “Chasing Waterfalls”. They were joined by works by fellow members of the Society of Women Artists in a showcase exhibition at Patchings Art Centre near Nottingham.
