Wednesday 16 October Watercolour Portraits; Friday 25 October Line & Wash - the art of illustration; Saturday 26 October Misty Watercolour Landscapes for beginners. All materials and a delicious deli lunch are included. Also: what makes a painting subject and where can we find inspiration? How to gather composition ideas and plan your painting. Clear demonstrations to create your own gravity paintings.

Friday 5 April 10 - 4 (Thursday 4 April is now full.) This April we shall take to Bath’s stunning canal and join the privately hired Sir John Knill Waterbus at Widcombe’s Top lock. We will proceed on a leisurely journey up the canal to Bathampton, gathering images along the way, to return back by water and the tow path for an afternoon’s painting at the Natural Theatre Company’s Studio space.
Painting the garden (Plein Air) Wylye Valley Art Trail event
Sunday 26 and/or Monday 27 May 1-4: A half day plein air session suitable for beginners and improvers to get a taste for watercolours. All materials provided plus inspiration form the gardens at Venue 36 of the Wylye Valley Art Trail which include 17th century buildings, a cute brick privy (!), colourful borders, meadows and rolling lawns.
Stourhead Autumn Retreat
2 and/or 3 October 2019: Immerse yourself in the landscape of the National Trust's gardens at Stourhead - an enchanting lake studded with classical temples and grottos. Choose Wednesday 2nd October to learn to create Watercolour Reflections and/or Thursday 3rd October for a day of loose line and wash. Stay for two days to truly relax! We will enter the grounds to collect images to take back to the First-View Gallery Studio nearby and create our "gravity paintings" step-by-step with Catherine's tuition. Includes garden entry, tuition and materials. BA12 6QE (Please bring lunch)
