This one day workshop is designed to familiarise you with the way watercolours can be used to loosely describe the seated figure. With the help of a live model and demos build a likeness in paint. Study elements of proportion and perspective, light and shadows. Embrace the white paper and allow the development of watermarks to lighten the “weight” of your painting. Look at backgrounds and ‘framing’ as the afternoon draws to a close with a review and take home tips. You will leave with several short and one lengthier painting. Includes artboard and teas/coffees. All welcome. Please bring a packed lunch or money to purchase one from the local deli.
