Next Spring Catherine is excited to team up with Casa De Los Cuadros to capture light in the mountains of Andalusia! Participants will try out the techniques in her book Capturing Light (Search Press 2023). Surrounded by the stunning natural park of Sierra de Grazalema, sketch corners of your own tranquil, whitewashed village, paint its flower meadows and olive trees, before travelling to Ronda to sketch its deep gorge. (See above.) All are welcome including non-painting partners. Spaces are limited to eight painters to ensure a good amount of one-to-one guidance.
Included in your holiday:
Accommodation with daily breakfast and three course dinner. Plus lunch every day apart from when we visit Ronda and your one free day.
Four full days of tuition; sketching trip to Ronda; airport transfers from/to Malaga

Our week:
Sunday 10th May 2026 Arrival day: Transfer from Malaga airport – includes three course introductory dinner.
Monday 11th Tuition day one: Introductory demos and local ‘painted postcards’ of the Casa and village corners. – includes breakfast, lunch, dinner.
Tuesday 12th Tuition day two: ‘Gravity-painting’ mountain meadows and seasonal flowers – breakfast, lunch, dinner included.
Wednesday 13th Tuition day three: Dramatic Ronda gorge day trip and sketch-booking using ink line & wash – breakfast and dinner (no lunch).
Thursday 14th Tuition day four – Personal painting projects with one-to-one tuition time and demo – breakfast, lunch, dinner included.
Friday 15th – free day – breakfast and dinner included.
Saturday 16th – Departure day: Transfer to Malaga Airport – breakfast included.
