Observe the canal boats “go gently down the stream” aka the Kennet and Avon Canal. These barges make wonderful painting subjects and you will also encounter sweet hump backed bridges, elegant ‘loggia’ and gardens cascading down to landing stages and waterside steps – all great to paint.
